Massive Heart Attack

Massive heart attack or severe heart attack refers to the condition when there is a severe damage to myocardial tissues renders the heart dysfunctional and it fails to pump blood to the different parts of body. The symptoms of massive heart attack includes the severe chest pain and it can be broadly categorized into myocardial infarction, heart arrhythmias and sudden death

Massive heart attack in men results in a sudden pain in the chest that extends to the left arm or left region of neck. The affected person experiences complications in taking breath, nausea, vomiting, suffocation, sweating, anxiety and fast palpitations. In case of women, they experience less typical symptoms than men and include shortness of breath, fatigue, weakness, and a feeling of indigestion. Every year, there are large numbers of people that die worldwide because of massive heart attack. Generally, the heart attack in men occurs after age of 40 and in women after the age of 50.

It refers to the condition where there is complete occlusion or blockade of blood vessel. The symptoms of myocardial infarction includes uneasiness in breathing,

decreased blood pressure, vomiting, Irregular heartbeats, Sweating, Syncope or collapse, and others. The patient feels very uncomfortable and experience severe pain in chest, throat, arms, upper abdomen and upper back. This condition requires the  patient to be immediately hospitalised.

Heart Failure (Congestive cardiac failure) – This refers to the heart dysfunction caused by the loss of loss of blood supply to the myocardium muscles. The symptoms of heart failure includes Extreme tiredness, low blood pressure, decreased urination, sudden breathlessness during sleep, nausea,

vomiting, Urge to urinate during sleep, cold hands and legs, poor effort tolerance, difficulty in breathing in standing or lying position, and swollen legs during long travel. Patient may also experience decreased food intake and indigestion  that is not relieved by antacids and H2 receptor antagonist.

Arrythmias(Irregular heart) – It refers to the irregular heart function and the symptoms include

palpitation  and restlessness.

Sudden Death – It is caused by the severe heart dysfunction(arrythmia) and acute myocardial infarction(Heart Attack).
